Smack 101

Smack - (n.) Spirited opinion, trash talk, verbal challenge

WeTheSportsPeople looks for the best smack, so that we can plaster it on the front page and help make someone famous.  We also keep track of member statistics, so that the world knows who has contributed the most.  If you play your cards right, you may even earn yourself a spot on our staff as a sportswriter!

No one wants lousy articles clogging up our pages ... so bring it!  If you want to be taken seriously, here are the rules for smack:

Rules of Smack

#1 - No profanity, slurs, vulgarity, or threatening behavior.  Anyone breaking these rules will be promptly bounced.  Anyoune who abuses the rules will be tarred & feathered, cast out from this noble confluence of people and ideas.

#2 - Be entertaining, interesting, and/or insightful.  You don't have to be all three, but you had better be at least one of them.  We like witty humor, sound arguments, unique ways of looking at a subject, and colorful language.  If your commentary is nothing more than "Raiders suck, LT is the best RB," don't plan on seeing yourself in the standings.

#3 - Be concise.

#4 - If your username is a list of unpronounceable symbols, end your emails or posts with a more readable name.  For instance, if your username is "34KateUFL2007edu," you are better off signing as "Kate from Florida," or "Gator Fan Kate."

#5 - If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.  Unless you suck, in which case, stop, and follow along as others write good smack.
